During last week, the police managed to get a confession from the 24-year-old suspect who told investigators that the teen is responsible for planning the attack on the businesswoman; an accusation which the 14-year-old suspect has since denied and continues to maintain his innocence.

However, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Monday recommended that the teen be charged along with his 24-year-old accomplice.
On the day of the incident, News Room was told that the 14-year-old was arrested after neighbours informed the police that he and the businesswoman had a heated argument several days prior to her death over coconuts. However the 24-year-old was later arrested after his name was mentioned as being in the company of the teen.
