Quantity of ammunition seized from abandoned car

Police ranks today uncovered a gallon-sized paint can containing two hundred and thirty-four live rounds of point 40 and one live round of point 45 calibre ammunition.

Acting on information received from a concerned citizen, the ranks conducted a search on a suspiciously parked motor car on Goring Street, Kitty about 12:30hrs where the items were discovered.

No one has been arrested thus far.

However, investigations into the matter are ongoing.
