23-year-old Kevin Inniss a/k “Mad Dog” has succumbed to his injuries after being shot last evening at ‘B’ Field, Sophia while his 22-year-old friend remains hospitalised.

According to police reports, at around 21:00hrs last night, Inniss; a mason and his 22-year-old salesman friend, Shane Carter, both of Ramsingh Street, ‘B’ Field, Sophia, were in the company of several other persons conversing, in a fenced yard, neighbouring to where they reside when the incident occurred.

It was noted that a dark coloured motor car with registration number unknown drove up and subsequently, three masked and armed occupants exited, approached the group and began discharging their firearms.

Inniss received several gunshots to the right region of his body while Shane Carter received a single gunshot to his right foot.

The gunmen then re-entered the vehicle which sped away in a western direction.

The victims were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital by residents where Inniss succumbed whilst being attended to by doctors. Carter was treated and admitted for observation.
