The US Ambassador to Guyana, Perry Holloway speaking to media operatives today following an event said contrary to what is being peddled now that Billionaire Donald Trump has been elected 45th President of the United States of America, he does not anticipate any significant change in US policy.

The Ambassador said presently there is a lot of speculation and worry about nothing.

He pointed out that people are always fearful of the unknown and within a 24 hour news cycle different views will be expressed, but everyone would have to wait until January 2017 to see what changes would be made by the new president.

Questioned about the changes on the stock market following the elections, Ambassador Holloway noted that this is quite normal.

He assured that there are no perceived or expected changes in the US embassy’s visa policy, noting too that changes would have to be debated by congress and would take a long time.
