Suspect in B.M Soat Auto Dealer’s robbery arrested

One of the three males arrested after an attempted robbery and high speed chase in Georgetown on Monday, has been positively identified as the armed bandit who shot and robbed B.M Soat Auto Dealer, Rameez Mohamed.

28 year old Mohamed was shot to his left thigh and robbed on October 25, 2016 at Croal Street, Stabroek, Georgetown.

He was at the time leaving the office of BM Soat Auto Sales where he is a director when he was accosted by a lone bandit who made off with the day’s earnings.

On Monday, the police arrested three men, among which is an ex-police officer following a high-speed chase through several city streets. Weapon and ammunition were found in the vehicle which carried two fake number plates.
