Body of unidentified male found in Berbice

The Police in ‘B’ Division are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found on the Lochaber, West Canje, Public Road this morning (Tuesday, November 15, 2016).

New Room was told that the body which is yet to be identified was discovered by a passerby just after 7:00 hours after which the police were called and later launched an investigation.

It was disclosed that the body bore one suspected gunshot wound.

According to information received, persons residing in the Lochaber, West Canje area are claiming that the dead man is not from the area and that he might have been killed and dumped there.

The body was picked up and taken to the New Amsterdam Mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
