Berbice resident beaten and robbed of jewellery, cast & electronics
Police are investigating a robbery under arms committed on Jason Hussein, 24 years, of Glasgow Village, East Bank Berbice, which occurred about 19:45hrs. last evening at his house.
Enquiries disclosed that the victim who lives with his family in a one flat house was alone at home, when he observed a masked male entering an eastern window and he (victim) immediately ran to his front door in a bid to escape but was confronted by two masked men, one with a handgun and from which he discharged a round in the house.
The bandits then bound the victim hands behind his back, dealt him several cuffs and kicks about his body and demanded he handed over all his valuables. They then ransacked the house and carted off with several cell phones, pieces of jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash.
