A man was this morning gunned down at Avocado Square, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown at approximately 02:55hrs.
Dead is Paul Rodney of West Ruimveldt.
According to information reaching the News Room, two men showed up on a motorcycle and one came off, approached the now deceased man and fired several shots at him. The police who were in close proximity heard the shots and responded. It was then that they found Rodney lying motionless on the roadway. He was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
News Room was able to contact the family of the deceased who are too devastated to speak with the media.
The police investigations into that matter are ongoing.
