This year’s Safari will be heading through the South Savannahs of the Rupununi creating the perfect opportunity for several indigenous communities to showcase their way of living.
If you are a nature lover who enjoys the outdoors and is always up for an adventure, then the South Rupununi Safari is the perfect event to create the memories to last a life time as you explore Guyana.
On Thursday the Guyana Tourism Authority announced that its six-day South Rupununi Safari will commence on Thursday and end on November 29.
GTA Director Indranauth Haralsingh said the event is part of tourism month and is ideal to experience the outdoors of the South Rupununi savannahs, while the organizers outlined that this year’s event allows Amerindians the chance to showcase their culture and market their produce.
Frank Singh of Rainforest Tours will be guiding the Safari that will be taking place for the fourth time.
Already 10 vehicles have registered for the Safari for a journey that should take about 1000 miles which pass through several villages of the South Rupununi.
