The West Berbice Chamber of Industry and Commerce will be promoting the Novar Beach as a Tourist destination with a beach day of Activities slated for November 27, 2016.
The activity will also commemorate the re-branding of the Chamber from West Berbice Chamber Industry and Commerce to Region 5 Chamber. This event will coincide with Tourism Month 2016.
Some of the activities expected are beach cricket, Jet Ski racing, local- made boat racing among other games and entertainment.
The Novar Beach is described as a hidden adventure and is considered a great venue for family relaxation, bridging the gap between Number 63 Beach and Georgetown.
President of the West Berbice Chamber of Industry and Commerce Imran Saccoor said the beach will provide greater opportunity for patrons in and around the area to have a calm and relaxing beach day.
“The Chamber’s involvement in this facility will be beneficial to the community, raise an awareness of the beach facility and solidify the Chamber reach and publicity as it expand services to the district to better serve Region 5” he related.
The beach activities commence at 12:00hrs and closes at 18:00hrs and then the after beach party heads to Park Square Funcity at Hercules Gas Station, Mahaicony.
The event is supported by the two major beverage companies Banks DIH and Ansa Mcal, along with the West Berbice Chamber of Commerce.
The public is invited to join the experience as there is no admission fee and the Chamber is asking patrons to be responsible and “don’t drink and drive”.
