A minibus conductor; Orlando who goes by the name “Rasta” was moments ago charged with the murder of 26-year-old Faiyaz Narinedatt. He is the fifth person to be charged with the murder of the carpenter, while two females were charged with obstructing the course of justice on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

The carpenter was  murdered on November 01, 2016, at Number 70 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, allegedly on the instruction of Marcus Brian Bisram.

The court heard that the 39-year-old of 3459 Stevedore Housing Scheme, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown and a father of six murdered the carpenter along with four other persons who were charged earlier this week.

The five will return to court on December 8, 2016, even as an arrest warrant was issued for Bisram who is based in the United States.

The court heard also that the police are in receipt of information of where Bisram is staying in the United States and arrangements are being made to have him here through discussions with the US authorities.

On Tuesday, 39-year-old Radish Mootie of Lot 124 No. 74 Village, 18-year-old Deodath Dott of Lot 98 No. 71 Village, 49-year-old Harripaul Parsram of Lot 164 No. 71 Village, and 37-year-old Nirone Yacoob of Lot 65 No. 67 Village were charged with murder when they appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

During last week, two of the accused confessed to law enforcement that they were ordered by an overseas based Guyanese businessman to kill Narinedat who had choked and slapped the businessman after he had made sexual advances towards him.
Additionally, mother and daughter of the alleged mastermind, 25-year-old Mary Anne Lionel and 45-year-old Shinella Indarally; both of Lot 171 Section B No. 71 Village, Corentyne, Berbice were charged for deliberately attempting to obstruct the course of justice. The duo is accused of offering a police corporal $4M in cash to release the four men who were at the time detained.
