According to the driver of the motor car 26-year-old Shane Fraser of #51 Village Corentyne, he was proceeding north on the western drive lane when the left front portion of the motor car collided with pedestrian Clark.

News Room was told that Clark fell a few feet away on the public road and received injuries to his head and other parts of his body. The injured man was picked up in an unconscious state by the driver of the motor car and other public spirited citizens and taken to the Skeldon hospital where he was treated and transferred to New Amsterdam Public hospital.

Traffic Chief, Budnarine Persaud told this publication that the driver of the motor car was taken into custody where a breathalyser test was conducted and zero alcohol was found. However, he will remain in custody as charges are likely to be laid against him.

    Investigations are ongoing.
