Three bandits this morning broke into a boutique located on Hadfield Street, a few steps away from the Brickdam Police Station and carted off with several items.

Michael Blair, the brother of the proprietor of the store on Tuesday told the News Room that he received a call at about 02:55hrs this morning from someone who informed him that the store was robbed.

He noted that “when I get down here, I discover the door was open. I understand that the alarm went off and when we come in, there was a disruption of the computer, the cash register, the door broken into.”

Blair added that a report was subsequently made to the police who promised to send someone to dust the facility for finger prints who eventually came some hours after.

We were told that the men gained entry into the store using a crowbar after their efforts to saw off the padlock to the facility failed.

It was also communicated that at least one person was able to recognise at least one of the suspects and that was communicated to the police.

    The investigations are ongoing.
