Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo has offered an apology to members of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) following a Social media post accusing the army of being part of the team that invaded the Red House.
Jagdeo told the media today (Thursday January 12, 2017) that this is “far from the truth” clarifying that neither the army nor Police Force were present during the ransacking of the Red House.
He said both security agencies have operated professionally thus far.
The Opposition Leader said the post on his official Facebook page was placed there by an administrator and after learning of it, he requested that it be removed immediately.
