A minibus conductor was arrested last night (Friday, January 20, 2017) while a 43-year-old man was pronounced Dead On Arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital following a stabbing incident.
The News Room was informed that at approximately 21:00hrs while allegedly at the Demico Roof Garden, 34-year-old Rawle Rodrigues of Leopold Street was involved in an altercation with two men.
Things then got heated leading to the 43-year-old, also of Leopold Street being stabbed.
The police were summoned and they carried out investigations which lead to the arrest of a minibus conductor.
The Guyana Fire Service Ambulance took the injured man to the hospital but reports are that he succumbed before reaching the health facility.
The police investigations are ongoing.
