SUPER50: Marooners topple ICC Americas by seven wickets

The Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) Marooners notched up their second win as many games, getting past ICC Americas by seven wickets in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Super50 competition on Thursday in Barbados. The win followed the Marooners 75-run drubbing of Jamaica Scorpions in the opening game of the tournament on Tuesday.

ICC Americas, playing their first game of the tournament, struggled to 181-9 off 50 overs with Timroy Allen making 43. Akeem Dodson chipped in with 28, while Kamou Leverock and Nikhil Dutta scored 26 each. Keon Harding, Jermaine Levy and Vikash Mohan each took two wickets for Marooners, who responded with 184-3 in 45.4 overs. 

Opener Amir Jangoo followed up his 64 against Scorpions with 52, while Kyle Corbin made 47 not out and skipper and opener Jamal Smith 36.
