The Police in ‘B’ Division are investigating a serious accident that occurred this afternoon (Tuesday, January 31, 2017) on the Public Road at Welfare East Canje, Berbice.
The driver of the motor car PKK 8119 has been identified as Rovin Behari of Fort Ordinance Housing Scheme, East Canje, Berbice.
News Room understands that Behari was proceeding north along the Welfare, East Canje, Berbice Public Road allegedly at a fast rate when he lost control of the motor vehicle and toppled several times before coming to a halt.
Behari was pulled from the motor car and rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital for medical attention.
Information surrounding the accident is still sketchy but details will be provided as it becomes available.
