Guyana’s number one ranked badminton player, Narayan Ramdhani, has signed the Team Yonex Brand Contract, thereby becoming the ambassador for the Yonex Corporation U.S.A.

The teenager will be exclusively using Yonex racquets, bags, shoes, apparel and accessories supplied by the company. This is another breakthrough for young Ramdhani, as he is now recognised by a top company that supplies all the leading badminton players around the world.

According to a release from the Guyana Badminton Association, for Ramdhani to be endorsed by Team Yonex provides a hint about his future in badminton at the international level.

Narayan is currently on a five-year badminton scholarship in Vancouver, Canada, provided by Shuttlesport Badminton Academy. He is currently attending College, pursuing a Degree in Sports Science.

President of the Guyana Badminton Association and national coach, Gokarn Ramdhani, was understandably elated by the signing of the new deal.

He said, “Well, we are very happy that we were able to produce a player to take Guyana to such a high level and we hope that our other local players can be as determined and committed to badminton, which is the only way to make it to the top. We also hope that more support will be given to us.”
