North Georgetown lads impress in Milo School Football

North Georgetown whipped Central High School 10-nil when the Milo School Football Tournament continued on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue. It was just pure dominance by the North Georgetown boys, who were clearly the better the team.

Nehemiah Gomes was the star of the match, scoring five goals. He notched the first in the ninth minute before going onto score in the 21st, 28th, 56th and 58th minutes. Rueben Miller had a double in the 46th and 62nd minutes, while Marcos DeLima had a goal in the 38th minute. The other goal was an own goal in the fifth minute.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Richard Ishmael toppled Brickdam 7-2. Sevon Winter, Tamil Hutson and Trevon December all scored a double for Richard Ishmael, while Azandee King scored one goal in the 32nd minute.

Also on Saturday, Sir Leon Lessons outplayed Carmel Secondary with a 5-0 win. Adrian Aaron orchestrated the win with a double in the 19th and 65th minutes, while Meshach Barratt, Omari James and Tyrese Forde scored goals in the sixth, ninth and 33rd minutes respectively.

The only other high-scoring game happened on Sunday with School of the Nations topping Dolphin Secondary 3-0. Benjonel Parkes scored a double in the 55th and 67th minutes, while his brother Andy Parkes dropped one goal as well in the 64th minute.

In other results on Saturday; Christ Church topped Cummings Lodge 2-1 and Queenstown Secondary defeated South Ruimveldt Secondary 2-0, while on Sunday, former champs St George’s Secondary topped Mae’s Secondary 3-2 and Tutorial High defeated Queen’s College 2-1.

Matches will continue this coming weekend at the Ministry of Education ground with four matches on Saturday and Sunday.
