A teacher was today (Tuesday, March 14, 2017) found dead in her apartment in Mahdia, Region 08.
A search was conducted for the 21-year-old after she was found to be absent from school on Friday last (March 10, 2017) and today (March 14, 2017).
The News has been informed that the evidence gathered at the scene thus far, points to suicide. However, this is still to be confirmed.
The dead woman was identified as Bridget Theya Narine.
Narine of Chateau Margot on the East Coast of Demerara has been working as a Nursery school teacher in Mahdia, Region 8.
Persons conducted a visit to her living quarters where they were greeted by a stench. Upon suspecting the worst, the police were informed and the ranks broke into the apartment. it was then that the gruesome discovery was made.
