‘Top Gun’, Braithwaite top GNRA Smallbore .22 Precision Shoot

Seasoned campaigner Harold ‘Top Gun’ Hopkinson and Jamaine Braithwaite emerged as the best senior and junior shooters respectively when the 2017 season of the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) Smallbore Section commenced at the weekend at the Tactical Services Unit Range of the Guyana Police Force.

The .22 Precision Pistol shoot saw competitors taking on each other in three stages of shooting from 5m to 15m. When all was over and the scores were tallied, veteran marksman Hopkinson did not allow his age to be a deterrent as he racked up 231 points out of a possible 250 to take the top spot in the senior competition, while ruling the roost among the juniors was Jamaine Braithwaite who managed 217 points.
