Father and daughter robbed at gunpoint; Bandits on the run

Two men invaded the home of a Chateau Margot, East Coast Demerara family last evening, carted off with an undisclosed sum of cash and a cellular phone.

Police investigations revealed that an unemployed man, 49-year-old Mohan Lall and his 24-year-old daughter, Salome Lall, an Accountant were sitting in the lower flat of their two storey house when the suspects pounced on them.

The suspects armed with a handgun and a pair of scissors.

The victims were held at gunpoint and taken to the upper flat of the home before they were relieved of their valuables, during which process, one of the suspects inflicted a wound to Mohan Lall’s head with the scissors. The bandits then locked the victims in a room and made good their escape.

Mohan was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was treated and sent away.

No arrests have thus far been made.
