‘A’ Division holds “de-stressing” fitness walk

In keeping with the quarterly fitness assessment requirement of the Guyana Police Force, the management team of ‘A’ Division and several junior ranks today (Saturday, April 01, 2017),  hosted the “de-stressing exercise.

On Saturday morning, all senior officers from the division headed by Assistant Commissioner, Clifton Hicken and Deputy Commander, Calvin Brutus gathered at Conversation Tree on the Rupert Craig Highway (the imaginary boundary which separates ‘A’ Division from ‘C’ Division) before commencing their journey. The group engaged in brisk walking along the Rupert Craig Highway, into Carifesta Avenue, south into Camp Street and west into Brickdam.

Once at the ‘A’ Division headquarters at Brickdam, the group engaged in a twenty minutes of muscle relaxation follwonig the command of Commander, Clifton Hicken.

Hicken told the News Room that given the scope of work required by his ranks daily,, the exercises and fitness walks are ideal to de-stress and it also brings a new level of energy to the ranks when they are ready to return to work.

Saturday’s fitness walk saw approximately 100 participants.
