The final four teams remain in the Petra Futsal tournament after a wild night of quarter-final action on Tuesday evening at the National Gymnasium. Defending Champs Bent Street are one step closer to defending their title after a 2-0 win against Goal is Money.

It was fast paced action and even with Goal is Money playing well, Bent Street halted their momentum early in the match with a goal from Okeene Fraser in the 13th minute. Just three minutes later and Anthony Abrams scored to double the lead in the 16th minute, which would prove to be all that was needed to top Goal in Money.

Popular street football team and street football champions Sparta Boss scraped their way to the final four with a 2-1 win against North East La Penitence. The game went the distance with both teams finding finishing hard.

Kelvin Moore struck first blood in 30th minute before North East gave up an own goal in the 35th minute. Devon Millington then struck the game winner in the 39th minute to seal a spot for Sparta Boss in the final four.

Sophia also made it through to the final four in one of the more entertaining games of the night, pulling of a 3-2 win against Tucville. Two early goals set Sophia up nicely with goals from Shem Arthur and Dwayne Lowe in the seventh and ninth minutes respectively.

Tucville’s Jermain Junior would pull the game back to make it 2-1 in the 13th minute, but a goal from Sheik Kamal in the 25th minute sealed the deal for Sophia. Jahaal Greaves scored consolation goal in the 28th minute, but Tucville simply could not find the back of the net afterwards. Back Circle was the final team to make the last four with a 2-1 win over Broad Street Bullies.

Curtez Kellman and Akeemo Anthony struck in the 26th and 29th minutes respectively to give Back Circle the win, while Keiron Solomon scored the lone goal for Broad Street in the 32nd minute. The semi-finals of the tournament being sponsored by GT Beer and NAMILCO will be held on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium from 19:00h.
