Guyana to host 2017 CPL games from August 17-22

Preparation for hosting of matches in the Hero Caribbean Premier League (Hero CPL) is gaining steam, and according to initial information, Guyana will host matches between August 17 and 22.

A usually reliable source close to the Hero CPL told News Room Sport on Wednesday that Guyana is again likely to host four games at the National Stadium, Providence, with the tentative dates being August 17, 19, 20 and 22.

All four games will involve home franchise Guyana Amazon Warriors. The three-time losing finalists will play defending and two-time champions Jamaica Tallawahs on August 17; 2015 champions Trinbago Knight Riders on August 19; 2014 champions Barbados Tridents on August 20; and St Lucia Stars on August 22.

The fifth edition of the Hero CPL is set for August 4 to September 10.
