Burnt body of male found

The police on the West Coast Berbice at around noon today (Wednesday, April 26, 2017), discovered the nude body of a male, which was burnt and left to rot in a clump of bushes at the Onverwagt foreshore, West Coast Berbice.
The News Room has been informed that the body of the person which appears to be of mixed race, was found in a kneeling position, and in a state of decomposition.
The head of the victim was covered with a jersey and tied around the neck with polyethene rope.
His hands were also tied at the wrist then to a nearby tree.
The body was discovered following information received by a Liaison Officer of the Policing group in the area.
The body is at the Fort Wellington Hospital awaiting a post-mortem.
