Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, who is performing the duties of the President, today swore in the Opposition Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) Bibi Shaddick to perform duties on the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) board.
The GNBA new board of directors took effect on February 1, 20, 7 and will serve for two years ending January 2019.
Shaddick’s appointment was delayed since the Prime Minister was awaiting the approval of the State Minister. The GNBA board had been meeting without the Opposition nominee.
This had raised concerns with the Opposition.
