Businessman and workers robbed by bandits

At about 20:00 hrs on Friday, (April 28, 2017), a businessman, Anthony Dashair and his workers were robbed at gun and knife point by four bandits.

The incident took place at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara (W.C.D) where the man operates a Supermarket.

According to information reaching the News Room, the men who carried out the robbery were all unmasked and can be identified by their victims.

The suspects entered the supermarket through a door pointed the guns at the victims and told them to remain quiet. They then proceeded to take away several items inclusive of cash and mobile phones.

Following the ordeal, the men left the scene and fled on foot, and it is suspected that they joined a waiting car.

It was communicated to the News Room that the business premise is fitted with security cameras and the video footage will be given to the police to aid them in their investigation.
