Pensioner’s body found on roadway

Traffic ranks and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was discovered on the East Bank Demerara Public Road this morning (Wednesday, May 03, 2017).

The News Room has been informed that the man whose body was found in the vicinity of Garden of Eden had a gaping wound to the head.

The ranks are trying to determine if the man who appears to be in the 70-80 age range might be a victim of a hit and run accident,  or whether foul play is involved.

The News Room was able to confirm however that there are no visible signs of a skid mark for a motor vehicle, neither are there is any debris on the roadway in the vicinity to where the body was discovered.
