George takes 400m silver in Baku


Guyana’s 400 metres record holder, Winston George, did not disappoint at the Islamic Solidarity Games that continued on Wednesday in Baku, Azerbaijan. George clocked 45.69s to win silver in the Men’s 400 metres to replicate his performance of 2013 where he finished with silver as well in the 400m.

Ali Khamis of Brunei Darussalam won the event in a time of 45.54s, while Ali Khadivar finished with bronze with a time of 45.92s. George will also be in the Men’s 200m final on Thursday where he will have a chance to grab another medal at the event.
