May 25, 2017. Georgetown, Guyana: The Guyana Power & Light Inc. (GPL) recently launched an easy-to-use facility to retrieve your current electricity bill information— SMS Freedom!
To use this facility a customer should text their Reference # to (GPL) numbers 624 0400 or 608 8400. Within one minute, the customer will receive a response via text with their Current Bill Amount and Due Date, as well as their Last Payment Amount and Last Payment Date.
The service is fast and simple, works with any mobile phone and can be conveniently used by customers anytime. Each customer’s Reference Number is constant and printed on their monthly bills.
GPL is working to provide its customers with improved Customer Services. This initiative allows customers anywhere, across the country to swiftly get their billing information when they need it.
