Almost one week after a Corentyne man allegedly struck his spouse about her body with an iron bar causing her death, he has turned himself over to the police.

The suspect, Adesh Mulloo, of 58 Village on the Corentyne today (Tuesday, May 30, 2017) turn himself into police at the New Amsterdam Police Station accompanied by an Attorney.

Mulloo is accused of beating his 34-year-old girlfriend, Gomattie Ramsingh mercilessly during last week.

Ramsingh, a mother of three died on Sunday (May 28, 2017) at the Georgetown Public Hospital while receiving treatment for a broken spine and other internal injuries.

The suspect who has been on the run ever since, had told family members that the woman had fallen and sustained injuries.

Commander of ‘B’ Division, Ian Amsterdam told reporters earlier today (Tuesday, May 31, 2017), that Ramsingh died from a blunt trauma to the head, spinal and other internal injuries about her body which is not consistent with a fall.

News Room had previously reported that on Friday Ramsingh and Mulloo also known as “Curry Cow” had gotten into a heated argument after she had disposed of a quantity of narcotics he had purchased earlier that day. The man allegedly became annoyed and armed himself with an iron bar which he used and struck the woman several times.
