Investigations are ongoing into an accident which occurred yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, May 31, 2017), on the Adelphi Public Road, East Canje, Berbice, causing injuries to a 28 year old motorcyclist.
According to information received, at about 16:15 hours on Wednesday, 28 year old Mario Causway of Adelphi Public Road, East Canje, Berbice, was proceeding north along the western side of the said road when motor car # PVV 9529 which was parked on the roadway suddenly drove out and into the path of the cyclist.
This resulted in a collision and Causway fell onto the roadway receiving injuries.
He was picked up in a conscious state and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was admitted.
