The second round of the Guyana Cricket Board and Hand-In-Hand Under-19, Inter-County, Three-day tournament will now start on Friday June 9. The matches were initially set to start tomorrow (Thursday), but heavy rainfall in the city today (Wednesday) put those plans on hold.
The venues and assigned matches remain the same, with the Guyana Select Under-17 taking on Demerara at Everest Cricket Club ground and Essequibo facing Berbice at Police Sports Club ground. Both matches will start from 10:00h.
The first round of matches saw Berbice and Demerara emerging winners, with Demerara trouncing Essequibo by an innings and 106 runs and Berbice overcoming the National Select Under-17 by five wickets in an evenly contested match.
