29-year-old woman busted with Cannabis

A 29 year old unemployed woman of 67 Gordon street, Kitty, Georgetown was on Tuesday (June 13, 2017) busted with a quantity of marijuana at Itaballi Checkpoint.

News Room was told that the woman was heading into the back dam when the item was discovered.

Natoya Durant was stopped at the Checkpoint when a search was conducted on a cream coat that she was wearing. Four brown scotch-taped parcels containing cannabis were found in the said coat.

The cannabis was weighed and amounted to 1 kg and 55 grams.

Durant admitted ownership and is in custody pending charges.
