A thorough examination of the “leaked emails” purportedly from the Attorney General Basil Williams displays several signs of botched photoshopped work.

The comparison made by the former GNBA Chairman, Lennox Craig

Snippets of two leaked emails purportedly from Williams – Chairman of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) –outlining the Coalition’s strategies to win the upcoming General and Regional Election in 2020 were circulated on Tuesday (June 20, 2017).

In a press statement, Williams insisted that the emails were not his and argued that the email address was recently created.

However, while the email address has proven to be authentic, the circulating clips are suspected to be photoshopped.

The comparison was made by the former Chairman of the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA), Lennox Craig in a Facebook post under the name, ‘Lenno Craig’.

One of the most glaring indications is the highlighted “inbox” tab when a “sent email” is being displayed.

Another sign is the uneven alignment of the name “Basil” next to the “Home” icon.

The Attorney General had noted that efforts are being made to determine in whose name the “leaked emails” is registered.
