Local and Regional Companies invited to tender for projects in Oil Sector

ExxonMobil’s affiliate, Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL) is inviting local and regional companies to submit expressions of interest for the provision of various services to the company.

Services include Helicopter, Marine, Freight Forwarding , Closed Container Unit and Rigging and Slings.

ExxonMobil which has been recently granted its production license for the Liza field, is seeking companies to provide; Support services for Helicopter operations, maintenance and ground services, To provide for rent or sale- cargo baskets and containers, and support services for Platform Supply Vessels, Multi-purpose Intervention and Tanker Assist Tugs.

Expressions are also invited for the packing, transport, clearance and expediting of materials to, and from major international locations, Guyana and Trinidad.

It is also inviting expressions for the “provisions and inspection of listing rigging and slings.”

According to a notice issued today (Thursday, June 22, 2017), “Companies must be registered in Guyana or other Caricom countries and be registered in the supplier portal. To register, visit www.exxonmobil.com/guyanacontractors

The companies must notify EEPGL via email of its interest and include contract title, company name, contact person, phone and email address.

Following the issuance of Exxon’s Production Licence, Minister of Natural Resources Raphael Trotman earlier this month disclosed that the company has to supply the government with a local content plan within six months.

Exxon recently announced an investment of US$4.4B for Phase one of the project.

Additionally, the Minister pointed out that the Government’s draft Local Content Policy which is expected to be finalized by August, has already been shared with the private sector as part of facilitating consultations before it is brought to the National Assembly.
