The Police in ‘B’ Division are investigating a serious accident which occurred this evening (Saturday, June 24, 2017) on the Hampshire Public Road on the Corentyne.
While information surrounding the accident is still sketchy, the News Room was told that motor car HC 3033 was heading in the southern direction allegedly at a fast rate, when the driver lost control and slammed into another car which was heading in the opposite direction.
As a result of the impact, the second motor car turned turtle.
It is not clear how many persons injured in the accident.
However, News Room was told that the second motor car was being driven by a businessman, “Kris” (only name given) who owns and operates the Kris Pharmacy at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne.
He was pulled from the vehicle and rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital for medical attention.
