(New York Daily News) A Queen’s man wanted in Guyana for a 2016 murder was detained yesrterday (Wednesday, July 06, 2017) following his appearance in Brooklyn federal court.

Marcus Bisram appeared in court after authorities nabbed the 27-year-old on July 4 in the Rockaways.

Now, Guyana is looking to bring Bisram back to face charges that he had a carpenter murdered.

Bisram is accused of masterminding the murder of Faiyaz Narinedatt last October.

The 26-year-old father of two allegedly slapped Bisram after rejecting his sexual advances at a party.

Prosecutors said the fugitive from Guyana was a serious flight risk who had the means and motives to flee to yet another country.

“Allowance of bail in any amount would not guarantee Bisram’s presence in court and would invite the possibility of embarrassing the United States in the conduct of its foreign affairs,” federal prosecutors said in court papers Wednesday.
