A fire of unknown origin has destroyed the home of a family of two in Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The fire started around 23:00h.
News Room was unable to ascertain if anyone was injured.
Residents however are upset about the response of the Guyana Fire Service.
According to several residents, two fire trucks arrived on scene more than 15 minutes after receiving the call despite being located in the nearby Diamond Housing Scheme.
Residents noted that the trucks arrived without water and the firefighters took a long time to get water from the trenches.
