BREAKING NEWS: Unrest at Camp Street Prison


There are reports of an unrest at the Camp Street Prison in Georgetown.

Several reports from senior officials have confirmed that prison officers are trying to bring the situation under control.

Sources are contending that there is a fire inside the prison but it is unclear which section of the holding facility.

Added to that, there are unconfirmed reports that three prisonsers have managed to escape.

The events are unfolding and the News Room will bring added details as it becomes avaiable as our team is enroute to the location.

In March 2016, 16 Prisoners were killed and several others injured including Prison officers as an unrest unfolded at the Camp Street holding facility.
