Pile driving works to continue on EBD

The Ministry of Public Infrastructure is informing the general public that it will continue with its pile driving exercise for the construction of pedestrian overhead passes on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).

The pile driving works will take place from tonight through Sunday (July 21 – July 23) at Houston and Eccles.

The Ministry advised that the preparatory will works commence at midnight, with pile driving is scheduled for 4:00hrs to 7:00hrs.

The Ministry also guaranteed that works will continue during the day with minimal disruption to traffic.

Traffic safety signs will be in place and motorists are asked to be vigilant and exercise caution when proceeding through these construction areas.

The Ministry of Public Infrastructure regrets any inconvenience caused.
