Escapee Stafrei Alexander, who was recently recaptured by police in Berbice, is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed medical institution to treat an existing wound which he reportedly received during a previous confrontation with the joint services.
Alexander was recaptured at 20:00h tonight, in a yard in Toopoo Village, Corentyne.
The Department of Public Information said the Acting Police Commissioner David Ramnarine said based on information received from members of the public, a special operation was launched in B Division with support from Police Headquarters which led to the arrest of Alexander.
