Corentyne family busted with shotgun

 A Corentyne family has been detained by the police following the discovery of an improvised shotgun in their home on Tuesday night.

Police said ranks, acting on intelligence, went to Kildonan Village in Berbice and conducted a search of a two-storey house for arms and ammunition. According to a police statement, they found an improvised single barrel shotgun without ammunition hidden in the lower flat.

A 61 – year old male, his 51 – year old wife and their 18 – year old son are assisting with the investigation.
