Breaking News: Prisoner shot dead by warder
The Timheri Prison
A prisoner who had threatened to kill prison officers was today shot dead by a prisoner warder at the Timehri, East Bank Demerara prison.
The News Room has been unable to identify the dead prisoner or the alleged shooter.
We were told that the prisoner was the same person who threatened officers earlier this week after his contrabands were seized. (Leroy Smith)
