A 59 – year old South Rupununi woman was chopped to pieces in Bonfim, Brazil. She has been identified as Barbara Jerome of Sawariwau Village in Region Nine but she has been living in Brazil for the past six years.
News Room understands that at the time of her demise, she was residing with a male counterpart.
Her body was discovered in the vicinity of Toucan approximately 25km away from Bonfim Tuesday morning by taxi operators plying the Bonfim -Boa Vista route. It is believed that she was murdered. Meanwhile, the male Brazilian National, who shared a relationship with her was taken into police custody and is assisting federal police with investigations.
