10 injured in Corentyne accident

Ten passengers of a minibus were rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital last evening after the bus collided with a trailer along the #19 Public Road, Lower Corentyne, Berbice.

While six of the passengers were treated and sent away, three were admitted to the health institution for further medical attention and one transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.

The police have taken both drivers into custody. News Room understands that a breathalyzer test was administered on the driver of the minibus and found that he was above the legal limit. (Leroy Smith)
