Yadram (6-16), batsmen decimate Leeward Islands
West Indies Under-19 player Bhaskar Yadram grabbed a six-wicket haul and two batsmen scored half-centuries as Guyana routed Leeward Islands by eight wickets to record their third straight win in the Regional Under-19 50-over tournament in St. Kitts on Tuesday.
Yadram picked up 6-16 as the Islanders were dismissed for 116 in 45.3 overs after electing to bat upon winning the toss. Kadeem Henry topscored with 28. Keshram Seyhodan with 2-16 was Guyana’s next best bowler on show.
Guyana then finished on 118-2 in the 27th over with Raymond Perez (52) and Kevlon Anderson (51) scoring unbeaten fifties. The Guyanese will next play Barbados on Thursday (August 24).
