A top-class performance by Guyana has brought the South American nation closer to retaining the Regional Under-19, 50-over title in St. Kitts. The Guyanese trounced Barbados by 10 wickets to rack up their fourth win from as many games.

Spinners Ashmead Nedd and Kevin Sinclair combined for eight wickets as the Bajans were dismissed for 166 in the 46th over. Nedd ended with 4-29 and Sinclair 4-23, while Shian Brathwaite scored 59.

Openers Raymond Perez and Joshua Persaud then went about dismantling the Barbados bowling attack, racing to the target without the loss of a wicket in the 40th over.

Perez ended on 87, while Persaud was sitting on 75 when victory was achieved. Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, also boasting an unbeaten record, will clash in the next round on Saturday.
