A 21-year-old was robbed at gun point on Thursday as he was en route to his aunt’s residence at Nigg Settlement, Corentyne.
The incident occurred at about 21:15 hours.
According to information received by the News Room, Joshua Mohair of lot 188 Canefield, East Canje Berbice, was walking south along a street when the four identifiable males who were on bicycles approached him from the opposite direction.
The suspects, one of whom was armed with a hand gun, held him at gun point and relieved him of cash and other articles then escaped.
The victim was robbed of one haversack value $5,000, one cell phone value $10, 000 and $1,000 in Guyana currency.
